Latest Update: EUDR Compliance in the Printing Industry

Latest Update EUDR Compliance in the Printing Industry

As the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) implementation approaches, Livonia Print, classified as a large company under the EUDR, continues to stay informed with the latest updates. INTERGRAF has recently released a statement addressing some of the key questions we've received from our customers regarding compliance, particularly concerning the collection and sharing of geolocation data, due diligence responsibilities, and transition periods.

One of the main takeaways is that before the regulation fully comes into effect on December 30, 2024, printers and other companies in the value chain are not legally obligated to provide geolocation data or other detailed compliance information about timber-derived products, such as paper, cardboard, and wood-based packaging materials. After this date, access to the necessary information will largely depend on suppliers and the EU’s developing Information System.

Livonia Print carefully evaluates suppliers with whom to cooperate. To ensure fair and open cooperation, we conclude an agreement only with those suppliers, that passes our supplier compliance procedure.

We encourage all our clients to review this latest guidance and rest assured that Livonia Print is closely following the most current developments to help answer your questions and ensure compliance. INTERGRAF statement available here.
