In the middle of November we received an invitation from UL Environment to complete a survey about our company’s waste diversion and circular economy practices. This survey shows our company’s efforts in comparison to other companies with respect to a specific market benchmark, UL 2799, UL’s Waste Diversion Calculation Standard.
Now we have received UL Waste Diversion and the Circular Economy Self-Assessment Results. In general report it is pointed out that Livonia Print is eligible for validation and certification against UL’s Zero Waste to Landfill Standart, UL 2799. This would establish Livonia Print as a leader in its Industry and enable to communicate effectively about our zero waste program to different stakeholders.
Based on our survey responses, UL appreciate that we have implemented a waste diversion program with the kind of systems and data controls that could enable high levels of waste minimization in the company. Also, specified by UL, we have already implemented some of the basic elements of a waste diversion training and communication program to enable appropriate waste segregation and landfill diversion practices.
Waste management is one of our company’s environmental management’s highest priorities. With our waste management system we already now have ensured that only a very small part of our waste is landfilled.
